It's been confirmed that Captain Marvel will be a period piece and it will include an appearance from 90s-era Nick Fury. Some set photos from production give us a look at 90s Fury, and he has a head of hair and two functioning eyes.

You'll also notice that Jackson has some white markers on his face, and no doubt they're going to digitally de-age Nick Fury when he comes to the big screen. We don't exactly know Fury's position in SHIELD when the movie kicks in, but it has been confirmed that we'll get an appearance from Agent Phil Coulson Clark Gregg.
Though Samuel L. Jackson looked way more different in the 90s, I still think it's cool that they were able to make him look this young for the movie. Like I said, we don't know how long we'll be seeing Jackson onscreen de-aged, but it wouldn't be surprised if he looked young for the whole movie.
A lot of people were expecting Captain Marvel to appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but we didn't get any sort of appearance. I guess she'll be introduced in her origin story after all. No doubt everyone will be happy to see her join ranks with the Avengers by the time Avengers 4 hits cinemas.
