Captain Marvel Director Describes Amazing Deleted Scene With Jude Law's Yon-Rogg

Captain Marvel is now available in digital stores for people curious about one of the more controversial MCU films to come out, even though the controversy came from people who misheard Brie Larson and refuse to listen to her actual words. To be fair, the movie itself is average and even low-tier when it comes to Marvel movies, though it does have some fun and memorable moments.

Interestingly enough, directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck were discussing a deleted scene from the film in CinemaBlend that involved villain Yon-Rogg and it actually sounds great. The scene has Rogg talking to the Supreme Intelligence, who takes the form of someone you admire the most. And who does Yon-Rogg admire the most? Himself.

Boden:I think the scene where Jude visits his Supreme Intelligence is really fun—I think it's on the deleted scenes—and it's just one of those delicious after scenes where Jude Law is playing both characters and being both brutal and vulnerable in the same space.
Fleck:Yon-Rogg, of course he's himself when he visits the Supreme Intelligence.

The fact that Yon-Rogg sees himself when talking to The Supreme Intelligence shows how much he values his character. This would have done a lot to inform Rogg's character, though this probably would have ruined "the twist" of him being the villain. Then again, we don't know the scene would have been framed, though it might be in the digital version.

Captain Marvel is now available in digital services. The movie will be coming out on Blu-Ray on June 11.
