We've all been waiting for some sort of reveal regarding Captain Marvel and it looks like we're finally going to get it. Brie Larson has "randomly" tweeted at Entertainment Weekly, asking if they wanted to "break the internet" tomorrow. The website responded in kind, saying that it is going to be marvelous, which has to be the cheekiest tease for the film yet.
Speculation has been wild since the tweets were made, with many hoping that it is going to be the first trailer for this highly-anticipated movie. Realistically though, it seems more likely that we will be getting an exclusive image of Larson in the costume, something many have been craving for since set photos revealed a semi-ugly green version of the outfit.
Entertainment Weekly has been a constant source of exclusive images like this, so it's not a huge surprise to see them getting involved like this. The website and magazine are less likely to plan a trailer reveal, though many are expecting to see that in a couple of weeks. Marvel will probably handle the trailer themselves, though the image will get people talking.
After all the talk about how her costume will look like, this new image will likely please many. Her current comic book costume designed by Jamie McKelvie has become iconic despite being less than a decade old, so it will be nice seeing Larson in it.
Captain Marvel is slated for a March 8, 2019, release.
