Captain America’s Off Fighting ISIS Before Avengers: Infinity War

Captain America: Civil War might have turned Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) into a fugitive, but that doesn't mean that Cap's going to waste his time doing nothing.

It's been a while since we've seen Steve on the big screen, but Captain America's been pretty busy fighting terrorists in Avengers: Infinity War Prelude #1. The comic which features the lives of the Avengers before Thanos comes knocking to collect the Infinity Stones in Infinity War shows fans what Captain America's been up to after Civil War, and it seems like the heroe's been off fighting ISIS.

Written by Will Corona Pilgrim and drawn by Tigh Walker, the new comic shows Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff and Sam Wilson going undercover to sabotage an ISIS weapons exchange in Syria.

The group is unnamed in the comic, but the black and white ISIS flag on the organization's van (not available in the excerpt photos) can't be missed. The Marvel Cinematic Universe might not be so open when it comes to showing actual terrorist threats, but it seems like Marvel's comic universe is an entirely different arena.

It's a short tidbit, but it's great to see Cap and his team keeping themselves busy protecting the planet from terrorist threats.

Avengers: Infinity War hits cinemas May 4, 2018.
