It finally happened! Chris Evans has just officially been named this year's "Sexiest Man Alive", a distinction many of his fans believe is long overdue for the 41-year-old star. Evans, whose career was launched to the stratosphere following his involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been seen as a top contender for the title but bafflingly enough, he's been passed over the last couple of years.
Now, the Captain America actor is taking home the crown. Speaking with People Magazine to discuss his new title and the responsibility it entails, Evans said that it's something his mom would definitely be bragging about. He said: "My mom will be so happy. She's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."
While he may come across as a pretty confident guy overall, mainly due to how he carries and presents himself, it turns out that Evans isn't exactly all that comfortable with his new accolade. Admittedly, however, he sees it as a huge honor to be part of the discussion.
Chris explains: "It's something that as I become old and saggy I can look back on and say 'I remember then…' I'm lucky to be in the discussion in any capacity."

Meanwhile, there have been persistent rumors claiming that Chris is set to make his return to the MCU. In fact, the entire fandom went absolutely berserk when reports from last year said that he inked a new deal with Marvel Studios, something that both parties have since denied. With the franchise facing an even bigger threat in Kang the Conqueror, we sure could use the return of the former Cap.
That said, Captain America 4 is currently in development.
