Captain America: Civil War Cuts Out This Important Marvel Character

Captain America: Civil War will feature the most number of Marvel characters that audiences will be seeing in the history of the MCU. It's understandable if some irrelevant characters aren't included in the film, but there are important characters who have also not been considered for the movie. This includes Tony Stark's love interest, Pepper Potts.

According to The Wrap, Gwyneth Paltrow won't be reprising Pepper in Civil War. There had been no indication that Stark's secretary and sweetheart will be involved in the movie when it was under production. When it was revealed that the movie underwent reshoots, rumors circulated that Pepper will be included.

With the new report however, it means that it never even crossed the minds of the movie's creators to include Penny in the character list at all. From the looks of it, something went wrong with Tony and Pepper's relationship after Age of Ultron and Civil War. The only chance that fans will be able to see a Pepper cameo is in Infinity War, which is expected to show over 60 key characters from the MCU.

Perhaps Tony's breakup with Potts has made him even angrier.

Pepper or no Pepper, there's plenty of things to be excited about when Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6.
