In Hell’s Paradise, Tensens are introduced as creatures that resemble humans with plant-like bodies. They share the same voices and facial features, making them truly intriguing for viewers. But can Tensen die? Or are they immortal, as their name implies?

What Are the Tensen in Hell's Paradise?
The word "Tensen" means "heavenly immortal". They are Sennin who mastered the Five Training Methods of Immortality.
Although they are structured like humans, their bodies are made of plants, as they possess a plant ovule that serves as their hearts.
This plant ovule automatically defends the Tensen once attacked. It is also a crucial organ as the Tensen will continue to live as long as the ovule is intact, even if they lose their body.
They can regenerate any wound without pain from any damage, including lost body parts. They can even grow their head back if it gets cut or removed.
Tensens can regenerate up to 1,000 times if necessary. However, it comes with risks too.

What Are the Tensen’s Weaknesses?
Just like any being, Tensens have their own weaknesses too. While they appear indestructible, there are two ways to harm them: through Tao and through their plant ovule.
Tao is a mysterious energy that is also the source of everything on Earth.
Lord Tensen and other select individuals who can accept all opposing forces and balance their spirits can control and manipulate this powerful energy.
The more the Tensen regenerate, the more their Tao is depleted. When this happens, their regeneration slows down, and their body can experience drawbacks.
So, Can Tensen Die?
While it may seem that the only way to defeat a Tensen is when their Tao is depleted, it has been shown that they can recover their lost Tao through Yin-Yang.
The lost Tao can only weaken the Tensen, but if the plant ovule is eliminated, it can die.
Remember, Tensens can live without a body if their plant ovule is intact. So if the ovule is gone, that could mean the Tensen's end.
However, this has not been proven true so far in the anime. No one could harm a Tensen enough to the point of actually getting their ovule.
It would be interesting to see someone strong enough to prove this theory.
But until then, we must wait and see what happens next in the shounen anime.
