Doctor Who Space Babies is finally coming today, but does it feature the show’s guest stars such as Callie Cooke?

Previously, the BBC and Disney+ announced the star-studded cast list of the new Doctor Who season, adding even more hype for many long-time fans.

With the new episode set to premiere worldwide today, the question on some fans’ minds is who will appear alongside the new stars Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson.

Callie Cooke Plays a Major Role in Doctor Who, But Not in Space Babies

As shown in the Doctor Who trailer released in late March, English actress Callie Cooke has joined the Whoverse in an undisclosed role.

Cooke has played roles in various TV series over the past few years. For instance, she played Shelley in the BBC’s Henpocalypse! and Leila in Hulu’s Wedding Season.

Given her trailer appearance, some fans of her work may be wondering if she appears in the first episode. Based on early reviews and official announcements, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

In a BBC press release back in March, it was mentioned that many guest stars will appear throughout the season, including Callie Cooke.

Disney’s version of the press release also echoed this, stating that Cooke’s character will appear in the season, but it did not mention an appearance in the premiere episode.

Finally, Cooke isn’t credited in the episode’s IMDB page, indicating that she will likely appear later on.

Doctor Who’s First Episode Will Still Feature Surprise Appearances

That doesn’t mean the first episode won’t feature some notable names. Sure, the premise follows the Doctor and his new companion mostly alone with the space babies, but there will be some guest stars.

One of these is Golda Rosheuvel who is confirmed to appear in the episode. She is best known for playing Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton. Interestingly, her debut won’t be in the Bridgerton-themed episode.

In Space Babies, Rosheuvel will play Jocelyn, a character whom the Doctor and Ruby Sunday will meet in their first proper adventure together.
