Call of the Night Manga Ending Explained
The title of Call of the Night Chapter 200 is Final Night: And Then, and it picks up where the previous chapter left off following Kou Yamori’s visit to Miss Detective after she returned from Vietnam.
It has been a year since Kou and Nazuna parted ways, but they have yet to reunite.
What Has Nazuna Been Up To?
After parting ways with Kou Yamori, Nazuna drifted around aimlessly, going wherever the road took her for three years.
Along the way, she stumbled upon Susukippi and even met a different vampire from another country. This particular vampire was in love with a human for so long, but she couldn’t meet with him again.
For vampires like Nazuna, love is a curse. It is something that must not be; the fact that it leads straight to death is proof enough.
If they break that taboo, they will be cursed to never be able to forget that love as punishment.
Nazuna has been staying with an old lady and some little rugrats until Kou appeared and found her.
Yes, Nazuna and Kou Meet Again
Kou approached Nazuna nonchalantly as if nothing had changed since they parted ways. He had been looking everywhere for Nazuna after she had not returned in over a year since he wanted to see her and catch up with her.
Nazuna answered that she was going to come back when it was safe to see Kou again. She still believes it was way too early for the two of them to reunite, given the huge risk.
Kou informs Nazuna that he’s now working as Miss Detective’s assistant, in addition to being a high schooler. He came closer to Nazuna to compare their height difference, but Nazuna, on an impulse, attempted to bite his neck.
Nazuna immediately had negative thoughts about Kou dying when the latter turned the situation around and gave the former an arm lock on the snowy ground.
Apparently, Kou has been training to get stronger to deal with Nazuna’s vampire impulses so they can be together.
Before the chapter ends, Nazuna and Kou update each other on what they were doing throughout the years they were apart.
While lying on the snow, Nazuna asked Kou to play tag with her till death do them part. She also introduced Kou to the children, saying that he is the man she loves.
