Call of the Night Episode 1 Recap
On his first night of fooling around, middle schooler Kou Yamori enjoys peace and freedom away from the busy mornings.
Aside from walking around, Kou wanders off to the nearby park to try the swing. Just like that, Kou realizes how fun it is to get on the swing by himself.
Kou is just like any other middle school student in the mornings. The only difference is that he doesn't have any friends with whom to converse. He just keeps going every day, quietly sitting in the corner of the classroom.
It's not that he's shy and aloof; he simply lacks motivation in life. He not only doesn't know what he wants, but he also doesn't care about the people around him. Not to mention the girls who tried to corner him after he rejected a confession from a friend.
After all, Kou doesn't understand any of life's romantic aspects. In fact, he dislikes girls and the way they behave around him. In any case, Kou's main problem in his mundane life is his sleep problems.
Kou stays up late for no apparent reason. As a result, Kou tries to have fun at night and eventually quits school. The night is more comfortable for Kou. He can do whatever he wants without being bothered by anyone.
A mysterious hooded girl appears out of nowhere as Kou is about to buy a beer from the vending machine. The good news is that she isn't bothered by Kou's near-alcohol violation. He is, after all, still a minor.
Instead, the mysterious girl drags him out into the night to experience it. They passed three drunken men, with whom the girl conversed casually. People who stay up late at night, according to the mysterious girl, are unhappy with their lives in the morning.
Kou eventually found himself pretending to sleep in the girl's apartment. She offered Kou her single futon to sleep on. The girl claims she will make Kou sleep more comfortably. But then the girl bit Kou in the neck.
While the girl makes a lame excuse, Kou recognizes her as a vampire. As a result, the girl revealed her true identity and told Kou how delicious his blood tasted. Despite this, Kou keeps hanging out with the girl.
They introduced themselves and decided to talk about a variety of topics. Nazuna Nanakusa is the name of the mysterious vampire girl. She appears to be a vampire who has a policy of not having any offspring.
Surprisingly, Kou wishes for Nazuna to transform him into a vampire. He is convinced that this is what he wants to do with his life. Kou had discovered his calling for the first time.
Nazuna, on the other hand, told him that he could only become a vampire if he fell in love with her. In any case, Nazuna promises not to bite him in response to Kou's proposal.
