Paik Jongwon has finally released the second episode of his new show on YouTube, Becoming a Market, with BTS’s Jin. The singer-songwriter managed to film the series a month before his enlistment began.
Jin and Jongwon are known to have a close bond, helping the unfortunate and popularizing Korean traditional alcohol breweries and eating the most delectable food. In November 2022, the two did a show together about the idol learning the receipt for his own traditional alcohol, makgeolli, which the latter registered as his own small alcoholic brand.
Jin’s Appearance on Paik Jongwon’s Becoming a Market
The YouTube series’ most recent episode featured thoughtfully planning a traditional market resuscitation project.
Jin came as a surprise guest, visiting Jongwon at the Yaesan market a week before he began his mandatory military enlistment.
“This is so pretty,” Jin said. “It’s giving retro vibes.”

According to AllKpop, he showed the show to attract more attention to the issue of traditional local markets experiencing a crisis.
In their talk, Jin asked how things became like this.
“That means you are also interested in local/regional economy. Local regions need to become evenly well off, too,” Jongwon explained.
They then talked about Jin’s origins and how he had set foot on this path.
Jin Supporting Local and Traditional Businesses
Despite his popularity, Jin has been supportive of the local and traditional businesses in Korea, like markets or alcohol brewing.
This is one of the many things that make him loved by the Korean netizen.

After his appearance on the show, he received huge attention on Korean forums. He has even gathered huge positive reviews for his cameo.
Though his appearance only lasts a minute, the clip now has 650,000 views as of this writing.
Jin Maintaining His Popularity
It has been over a month since Jin began his mandatory military service, but he has remained a popular figure on Naver and other Korean forums.
So to give fans some updates, thousands of Knetz are on the news about how he’s doing in the military today.
By the looks of it, he has been receiving lots of praise for being one of the best. He has now become a training assistant and was even a unit commander.
Despite shaving his hair, Jin has maintained his good looks, especially in his military uniform.
