BTS's Jungkook is reportedly building a huge, luxurious home for himself in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in South Korea, Yongsan-gu, Itaewon-dong. The idol purchased the detached, urban home for a whopping 7.6 million KRW ($6 million), which he got demolished to build a new one, and fans have mixed feelings about it.
Jungkook's In-the-Works Luxurious Home
According to AllKpop, the 25-year-old obtained the property in 2020 and got Yongsan City's approval for a construction permit in July 2022.
The existing house was then demolished, and construction began to build the K-pop star's much-luxurious home.
The house in question has a floor area of almost 12,500 square feet, with over 6,800 land area and a total building area of more than 3,700.

It will feature two below-ground levels and three above-ground levels. The house's target completion date is May 31, 2024.
When the construction is complete, and Jungkook starts to live there, he will be neighbors with SK Group chairman Choi Tae Won, Shinsegae Group chairman Lee Myung Hee, Nong Shim Group chairman Shin Dong Won, and Hyundai Motor Group chairman Jung Eui Sun, among others.

Fans can't help but react to the massive size of Jungkook's new home.
In a discussion on The Qoo, as translated by AllKpop, one fan said he wanted to see the hitmaker doing his live stream in his new house.
"That's 5 floors. He can build a movie theater and gym in his house," another stated.

In 2019, the group earned a staggering $170 million in touring alone. The only group to make more was Metallica.
