BTS Jin reportedly weighs more than he did before starting his mandatory military service.

Jin of the K-pop supergroup became the first member to join the army. His enlistment came after years' worth of discussions about whether BTS members would be required to enlist due to the group's massive cultural contribution, which could affect South Korea's industry.

But as early as 2019, the Ministry of Defense already ruled that BTS members should serve.

Three months after he officially started his duty, his bandmates Jimin and Suga spoke about him, with the former sharing a shocking revelation about Jin's weight.

BTS Jin's Weight Revealed

Jimin became the latest and seventh special guest in Suga's Suchwita (Time to Drink with SUGA during which they spoke about the Lie hitmaker's music, solo album, and life.

Elsewhere in the interview, Suga expressed his desire to visit Jin with J-Hope. However, he had a prior engagement which led him to cancel their plans. He then asked Jimin instead how Jin was doing when he saw him.

According to him, Jin was doing well and had already reached 66 kgs amid his mandatory military service. Suga looked shocked as he asked him whether it was the most he had weighed in his entire life.

Per Jimin, Jin never went over 63 kgs. With the gain, both members expressed their delight as Jin looked like he was getting healthier since starting his service.

The remaining six members are expected to begin their duties in the next coming years and spend 18 months away from the cameras.

BTS' company, Big Hit Music, said the group members "are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment."

BTS Members Reunite Since Jin's Enlistment

On March 25, BTS leader RM shared a photo of him alongside the four members of the group: Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, and Jin. They reportedly met during the eldest member's vacation day.

ARMYs quickly asked him where were V and Jimin, leading Suga to explain that the duo had left 10 minutes before taking the photo.
