BTS Jin debuted a shaved head before his scheduled military enlistment.

After a long wait, BIGHIT Music announced BTS Jin’s military service enlistment this year as the idol himself also wants to serve his country. There have been talks regarding BTS members’ enlistment involving the government, with arguments insisting that the idols should not serve in the military and continue performing to ensure South Korea’s booming industry instead.

Jin, however, finally shaved his head in preparation for his enlistment.

ARMYs Say BTS Jin Still Looks Hot in New Hairdo

ARMYs reported Jin’s WeVerse post, which featured photos of the Super Tuna singer after getting a haircut. Fans expressed their sadness as he needs to be away for one and a half years, but they also complimented the idol for looking hot despite shaving his head off.

"It's cuter than I expected," he reportedly captioned the post, per sources (via The Korea Times).

After seeing Jin’s photos, fans showered him with positive messages and praised him for looking handsome even with his new style.

Among the comments read:

“It's even sadder to see him go because he's handsome.”
“My god..you are handsome and look like a student.”
“Wow, look at your face, handsome even with this haircut.”
“He should be a soldier in a drama..very handsome.”

The 30-year-old idol will enter a boot camp in Yeoncheon on Tuesday. He will need to undergo a five-week basic training program before receiving his local unit assignment.

His agency has since asked fans to help them give Jin a peaceful entrance ceremony with the military personnel and family members. BIGHIT Music also did not plan on holding an official event to ensure smooth-flowing enlistment.

BTS Jin Will Receive Extra Security in Military

Ahead of his enlistment, Korean news outlets revealed that Jin would have extra security throughout his service. Military authorities will reportedly take additional steps to ensure his safety while serving in the military by working with the police, fire department, and regional offices.

On the day of Jin’s enlistment, local police will reportedly dispatch around 270 riot police as Jin, and his 200 fellow recruits enter the training center. There will also be health services on site.
