BTS’ counterfeited merchandise will reportedly be cracked down, KIPO assured.

South Korea’s Busan has been preparing ahead of BTS’s Yet To Come in Busan event on October 15. The free concert in Gijang-gun, Busan, expects to see 100,000 attendees as the province bids to host the world expo in 2030.

With that, an office launched a move to prevent the goods from being counterfeited during the free concert event.

BTS’ Merchandise Counterfeits To Be Cracked Down

Korea JoongAng Daily shared Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announcement on Monday regarding its plans to crack down the counterfeit merchandise near the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, where the free concert would be held.

Along with the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency, KIPO will open booths near the venue to raise awareness regarding counterfeited merchandise and concerns about intellectual property.

“We will cooperate with KIPO and have on-the-spot crackdowns so that consumers do not end up purchasing counterfeit goods,” HYBE responded to KIPO’s plan.
