Bryce Dallas Howard Gets Honest About the Pay Disparity in the Jurassic World Films

There is no doubt that Bryce Dallas Howard is one of the main stars of the Jurassic World films alongside Chris Pratt. However, it doesn't necessarily reflect what was happening behind the scenes due to the significant pay disparity between the two actors for their work in the trilogy.

In a recent interview with Insider, Howard sheds some light on the pay disparity issue in her work in the Jurassic World films and revealed that it was actually larger than what was being reported.

"The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less," Howard said. "When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set."

However, Howard added that when she discussed the pay gap with Pratt, he helped her push for a better deal for the ancillary revenues in the franchise including the spinoff video games and the theme park rides.

"What I will say is that Chris and I have discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn't been already negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me: 'You guys don't even have to do anything. I'm gonna do all the negotiating. We're gonna be paid the same, and you don't have to think about this, Bryce,'" the actress said.

She added, "And I love him so much for doing that. I really do, because I've been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie."

While it is disappointing for Howard to have a significant pay disparity for her works in the trilogy, she was able to make a better deal for the other revenues and was able to get help from Pratt in addressing the issue and make sure that they'll be paid equally since both of them are the faces of the franchises.
