Bryan Callen from The Hangover Joins Cast of Joker

With the Joker movie set to start filming later this year, the cast has been slowly getting more members. Just in, The Hangover's Bryan Callen has been hired to play an aging an aging stripper.

Callen revealed during his podcast The Fighter and The Kid (via Batman-News):

"I'm doing the Joker. I was offered a part… That'll be fun, but I think it's only a couple days. I play an aging dancer. A stripper. I don't want to go into the details. I can't go into the details, but just know it's going to be good. I'll be in a Speedo, I can't wait. I have some ideas for it."

If you're not familiar with who Callen is, you may remember him for playing two different characters in The Hangover as well as the sequel. I probably like him best as Eddie:

I don't know what Callen's role means for the movie, but I can imagine that director Todd Phillips would want to add in a little humor despite all the dark tones that the movie is said to have. Then again, Callen's role could still end up depressing. We don't really know yet.

I have to say, I'm slowly getting onboard for this Joker movie. At first I thought DC was reacting too rashly to fan backlash, but the concept of having an alternate timeline play along to a main one is something that Marvel hasn't even done yet.

Catch Joker in cinemas Oct. 4, 2019.
