Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz ‘Would Die’ To Become Marvel’s She-Hulk

She-Hulk is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to Marvel's upcoming Disney+ She-Hulk series, and while the studio hasn't begun working on the project just yet, it looks like Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Stephanie Beatriz wants to throw her name in the casting ring.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stephanie Beatriz decided to address Marvel fans clamoring for Marvel to cast the Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Modern Family actress as Jennifer Walters in the upcoming She-Hulk series. As it turns out, fans aren't the only ones who want Beatriz to become Marvel's She-Hulk. She wants the role too.

"I would die to play that role," Beatriz told the entertainment news site, "That is so flattering. That is one of the best characters in that universe."

For those who aren't familiar with the hero, Jennifer Walters is actually a lawyer that moonlights as She-Hulk. Walters turned into She-Hulk after acquiring an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. The lawyer acquired a milder version of Bruce's Hulk condition, allowing her to retain her personality, intelligence, and emotional control even while becoming a large-powerful, green-colored version of herself.

Beatriz would be a great She-Hulk. Not only does she seem to have a great demeanor for the part, but she also has a physique that would fit the role. She's even been training for the part, working out so that she'll have a better shot at the audition.

"I definitely have upped my workouts since reading some of those things," Beatriz explained. "But also, [I think it would] be really exciting for fans to see some of these characters that we kind of decided are one thing, to sort of be imagined in a different way."
