Brie Larson Isn’t Sure When She’s Working on Captain Marvel 2

Captain Marvel might have been a major commercial success for Marvel but Brie Larson isn't quite sure just when she's going to work on the highly-anticipated sequel for the movie. It seems like the Carol Danvers actress doesn't even know what Marvel project she has to work on next.

Larson just recently spoke in an interview with Variety to discuss her role as the Strongest Avenger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While fans are excited to see Carol Danvers return after seeing her battle Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Endgame, the actress says nothing is set in stone as of the moment.

"No. I don't really know what job I'm going to do next, which is very exciting," the Marvel star explained in the interview with the entertainment news outlet. "I don't even know what my life's gonna be! And most of this year, you know, I had to do the press tour. But then the last half of the year, I've just been focusing way more on just doing what I want to do that's completely outside of my job. I just feel like it's been this incubation time. Whether it's incubation because I'm developing projects, and also incubation myself, being, like OK, I'm going to be turning 30. I've been working a lot. I need to just like change it up and see what's there for me — see who I am now. And which ways that I want to grow."

This might come as a surprise to Captain Marvel's fans, but it makes sense that Larson wouldn't be quite certain about her future in the MCU just yet. Captain Marvel 2 hasn't been listed in the studio's roster of films for Phase 4 of the franchise.

We could see Captain Marvel make a few cameos though, perhaps in Thor: Love and Thunder, perhaps in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
