It goes without saying that Jenna Ortega is one of Hollywood's biggest success stories this year and while the actress isn't by any means a newbie in the acting world, having already been involved in several high-profile projects over the course of her young career, it can't be denied that her role in Netflix's horror-comedy series Wednesday launched her to the stratosphere.

Since the debut of the show based on The Addams Family, fans can't seem to stop buzzing about Ortega, and apparently, even celebrities couldn't help but gush over the equally charismatic and enigmatic star. Unsurprisingly, Jenna has also been the subject of several humorous posts and memes with one actress falling for the ongoing trend online.

MCU star Brie Larson apparently fell for a Twitter post where the 20-year-old falsely claims that Carol Danvers is her favorite Marvel hero. In a now-deleted tweet, Larson asked the breakout star to do a collab with her on the Captain Marvel actress' YouTube channel and teach her the now-viral Wednesday dance from the show after learning about the fake statement.

Naturally, fans reacted to Brie's Twitter booboo and most of them couldn't help but feel secondhand embarrassment for the Oscar-winning star. Whoopsies. Check out some of the reactions below:

Meanwhile, rumor has it that Jenna is being eyed for an MCU role, and considering Brie is still reigning supreme as Captain Marvel, there's a good chance that their paths will eventually cross in the billion-dollar franchise. For now, let's just give Brie a pass because we've all been on the receiving end of gullibility at one point in our lives.

The Marvels is slated for release on July 28, 2023.
