Breaking Bad Movie Will Reportedly Air on Netfilx and AMC

Vince Gilligan's reported Breaking Bad movie is actually happening, and it's apparently going to be available on the most popular streaming service.

Deadline reports that the upcoming Breaking Bad film will be available to watch on AMC and Netflix. Breaking Bad's five seasons originally aired on AMC when they were first released, but the entire series was added on Netflix for fans to watch instantly.

According to the report, the order of the film's release will be flipped. Instead of premiering on AMC first, the film will be released on Netflix first, then air in primetime on AMC after it debuts on the streaming service.

"I think Netflix kept us on the air," Gilligan said in his acceptance speech for the series' first best drama series Emmy win in 2013. "Not only are we standing up here, I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond Season 2. … It's a new era in television, and we've been very fortunate to reap the benefits."

They haven't revealed plot details about the film yet but we know that Gilligan will both write and direct it, and Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein are producing.
