The Boy and the Heron anime film is getting a new documentary titled Hayao Miyazaki and the Blue Heron: The Path (Road) to How Do You Live?
It will be a collection of completely re-edited material from the documentary The Style of Professional Work: Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s 2399 Days broadcast on the NHK channel.
The documentary will be available on both Blu-ray and DVDs, along with the 120-minute main film that will be released on the same day, in addition to the documentary originally aired in NHK.
In addition to the documentary, the DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD details for The Boy and the Heron anime film have also been released.
All versions will contain the main story, other video bonuses and benefits, and will ship with different packaging. Prices will start at 5,180 JPY, tax included.
Meanwhile, the anime film's behind-the-scenes documentary will be included in a special Blu-ray and DVD edition priced at 12,650 JPY and 9,350 JPY, inclusive of tax, respectively.
