What Happened Before Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 255?

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 254, The Spiral of Vengeance, Ikada seems to have accepted the offer of Boruto to sacrifice himself; even when Sarada and Mitsuki refuse, they could not stop what is about to happen since it is Boruto’s desire for them to stand down.

The Funato clan starts beating Boruto to death. Ikada instructs Kobuna to do the final blow but Kobuna was scared so Boruto jumped to the sea.

Sarada and Mitsuki prepare to avenge Boruto but Ikada, himself, jumps to the waters to save Boruto. After that, Ikada orders the Funato clan to retreat. Araumi is about to blow off the Chakra Canon but Kawaki arrives in time to slice his throat.
