Today is a great day for shonen fans as the latest chapters for Dragon Ball Super and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations have been released by Shueisha and Viz Media today, and each new chapter has dropped major bombs that will surely hype up the fans.
While Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou's story mostly focuses on the flashback story between Bardock, the father of Goku, and the villainous Gas, Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto's Boruto takes place in the present and showcases Eida's powerful ability against Shikimaru and Amado as Code continues to avenge the death of his master, Jigen.
Dragon Ball Super Chapter 83, titled Bardock vs. Gas Part 2, is now available to read on MangaPlus and VizMedia, and it continues the flashback of Bardock fighting against the current strongest warrior of Universe 7, Gas of the Heeters. Although Bardock struggles to fight Gas in the majority of the fight, he's able to take him down, and this retelling of this battle in Planet Cereal forty years ago will likely have major implications on the Goku vs. Gas fight in the present.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 69, titled Captives, is also available to read on MangaPlus and VizMedia, and it continues to the epic showdown against the Kara Organization in a Konoha lab. We also get to see a conversation between Boruto and Sasuke, a scene with Sarada and Mitsuki, and another scene with Naruto and Kawaki, before bringing us back to the scene that shows us what Eida is capable of. Despite being a captive of her enchanting powers, Shikimaru offers a proposition that could Eida might consider in the next chapter.
Both new manga chapters are exciting in their own way. Many fans were already expecting Bardock's victory against Gas, and now we know how Goku's father is able to take him down. It's likely that we will see Goku find the inner strength and power to defeat Gas. As for Boruto, we're wondering how Eida will respond to Shikimaru's proposition, and if Naruto and allies will be able to enter the lab after Shikimaru requests Ino to change the lock code in order to prevent the other shinobi from being affected by Eida's power.
