The end of Chapter 56 introduces the new villain after readers were given a closer look at Code's powers. The last remaining inner Kara member went to Boro's old haunting grounds with a mission to free one of the cyborgs made by Kara while Jigen was in charge, and her name is Eida.

After killing a couple of guards, Code finds Eida, who's been waiting in sleep inside a chamber. It turns out that the cyborgs were all destroyed when it was revealed they were more powerful than Jigen, but Boro decided to save Edia. Code will most likely free her in the next chapter as he obviously wants to use her to fulfill his mission.

Since the scientific ninja sector was introduced, we get to see more sci-fi elements in the manga series, and it's interesting to see that we're seeing more cyborgs and other kinds of high-tech weapons on Naruto. With a new cyborg villain in the picture, the heroic ninjas at the Hidden Leaf have a new type of villain to face, and hopefully, Boruto and Kawaki's training will pay off before Code can fulfill his mission.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be released on April 20, 2021. You can find out more information about spoilers for that chapter, and other details here.
