We already know that the Borderlands movie is currently in production but we have yet to see the cast of the upcoming adaptation of the Gearbox game. Luckily, Jamie Lee Curtis decided to drop a teasing first look at Cate Blanchett as Lilith.

Curtis posted the image on her official Twitter account and it features Blanchett on the set of Borderlands. Check it out below.

"Welcome to BORDERLANDS & a secret BTS shot I took of Lilith, our legendary heroine, psycho blasting, vault hunting vixen with a bad attitude.#cate Blanchett From the brilliant minds of @borderlandsfilm @therealeliroth @gearbox @picturestart @Lionsgate Arad Productions," Curtis wrote.

Unfortunately, the image only shows Lilith's silhouette. Nevertheless, it's an exciting update on the highly anticipated adaptation of the popular title. Hopefully, we'll get to see an official image of Blanchett and the rest of the cast soon.

Borderlands is being directed by Eli Roth and also stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Haley Bennett, and Édgar Ramírez.

The official description for Borderlands reads as follows:

"Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe's most powerful S.O.B., Atlas (Édgar Ramírez). Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Kevin Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina's musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Jack Black), a persistently wiseass robot.
"These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they'll be fighting for something more: each other."

The Borderlands movie has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
