As promised, a new trailer for BoJack Horseman 5 has been dropped, and it gives us a good idea on what to expect with the upcoming season.
It looks like the majority of the season will deal with BoJack getting another acting job, and this time, it's Princess Carolyn's passion project called Philbert.
In the last season, Carolyn had tried getting a child with her mouse boyfriend Ralph, but she had a miscarriage, leading to the two breaking up. Carolyn had planned for the child's name to be Philbert, but since the pregnancy didn't push through, she found herself clinging on to a script with the same name, hell bent on getting it produced.
Not much is revealed in the trailer about the other characters. We know that Diane gets a haircut, and Todd gets into some more crazy shenanigans. You'll notice that BoJack's half-sister Hollyhock is back, though, and for a few seconds you can also see Emily (Abbi Jacobson) working with Todd again.
Admittedly, the trailer for the fourth season had more ‘feels' for me, but I bet this new season will be evert bit as emotional. BoJack Horseman may be a show filled with talking animals and meta jokes, but at its very core, you have some real human drama taking place.
Catch BoJack Horseman 5 on Netflix Sept. 14.
