Even though The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau dismissed rumors a while back that iconic Star Wars character Boba Fett will make his way to the series' upcoming second season, a new development suggests that it could in fact be imminent and Favreau may have only been trying to divert the attention of fans to avoid potential spoilers.

Now, in an interesting turn of events, Star Wars has apparently filed a new trademark for the legendary bounty hunter. An alleged document was unearthed by the website Yakface.com was filed last October 23 and while it couldn't mean anything to some fans, it could very well indicate that Disney will be using the likeness of the character for several new merchandises. Of course, this leads to the speculation that Boba Fett will indeed be making his return to the franchise via The Mandalorian Season 2 in some capacity. Either that or Disney would just like to milk the character considering he's long been a fan-favorite. Check out the alleged trademark filing here:

It's worth noting that Disney didn't exactly confirm Fett's involvement in the second season and it was the fans' speculation that sparked the rumors in the first place. However, seeing as how the character was actually referenced in The Mandalorian Season 1, it's safe to assume that they've been planting the seeds for his eventual arrival in the show. Take everything with a grain of salt for now and let's just see what happens in the new chapter of the hit spinoff series.

That being said, The Mandalorian Season 2 hits Disney+ tomorrow, October 30.
