Who is Bo Burnham and What Does January 17 2024 Mean to Him?
Comedian Bo Burnham is known for his viral Vine videos, writing and directing the 2018 movie Eighth Grade, but most especially for his Netflix special musical in 2021 titled Bo Burnham: Inside, which won 3 Primetime Emmys.
While Burnham is also known for his quirky and dark jokes about mental health and societal issues, fans can't help but grow concerned over the arrival of his alleged "death day."
See, Bo Burnham previously posted the claim on his website and told in an interview that he was planning on dying by suicide on January 17, 2024:
"I came out of my mother's p**** on August 21st, 1990 and I will die on January 17th, 2024. Also, I have a dog named Bruce and I love him."
The date was a personal prediction for Burnham, considering he believes that his dog, a "bomeranian" breed, will die on or before that date, adding that he can't live without him.
Bo Burnham Previously Addressed That He is Not Suicidal
It is worth mentioning that the comedian himself had previously addressed his mental state, outright stating, "For the record, I do not want to kill myself and I'm not going to kill myself" in this video:
However, despite that being said, fans can't help but grow concerned over his sudden disappearance from his social media platforms.

Fans Are Sent into a Frenzy As Bo Burnham 'Disappears' Online
X (formerly Twitter) user Vox_Oculi kept Bo Burnham fans updated as his social media platforms gradually deleted his posts and comments on X, Instagram, and even his YouTube channel — all of which had been set up with the view of the horizon as his profile icon.
While it remains to be seen what happened to Bo Burnham and whether he intentionally wiped off his social media accounts on the same day he "joked" about his death day, fans are speculating that the comedian is rebranding himself online or perhaps taking a break:
