Yoichi Isagi's quest to become the world's greatest striker is far from over, as he suffered humiliation at the hands of the World's Five, chosen by Ego Jinpachi.
The World's Five not only demonstrated the level of difference in their skills and abilities to Yoichi, but they also used this opportunity to assess their potential to participate in the third selection round of matches.
Anime fans can expect to see new faces in Blue Lock Season 2, each with their own set of abilities, skills, and weapons that will make the plot more engaging and exciting to watch.
Furthermore, viewers can expect to witness Yoichi reach new heights as he surpasses himself in order to acclimate to the other players, devouring them in the process.
At this point, Yoichi does not need to hold anything back in the training program in order to succeed and pursue his soccer career above all else.
He only needs to think about himself and his future career. This is Yoichi's make-or-break situation that will dictate his future success.
Blue Lock Season 2 will also be a deciding moment for Yoichi, in which he must demonstrate his skills and abilities that will catapult him to the top, even higher than Rin Itoshi or anybody else in Japan.

Blue Lock Season 2 Release Date Predictions
Unfortunately, Blue Lock Season 2 will not be released this year. There's also a chance that it won't be released in 2024, but we're hoping for an announcement by the end of next year or early 2025.
As previously announced, the anime's creators are also working on Blue Lock's film, which will be about Nagi Seishirou and his exploits before entering the Blue Lock program.
With this information, we can assume that the film will be released around mid- or late-2024 in order to maintain the anticipation and interest for the second season.
If this happens, there's a good chance that Blue Lock Season 2 will be released by the end of 2025, after the film's theatrical and/or digital runs.
Looking at the situation, Blue Lock has been very successful when it comes to manga sales and anime interest.
It will not be surprising if we come across an announcement sometime in 2023 about the release dates of both Blue Lock Season 2 and the Blue Lock: Episode Nagi film!
However, take all of these predictions with a grain of salt. We need to wait for more news and announcements to make better deductions.
Which Studio Is Animating Blue Lock Season 2?
While it hasn't been confirmed yet, 8bit is still the same anime studio that everyone expects to produce Blue Lock Season 2.
Aside from Blue Lock, studio 8Bit is also the studio that brought us the isekai anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, all four seasons of Encouragement of Climb, and the first and second movies of the mecha anime Macross F.

Who Will Be the Staff Behind Blue Lock Season 2?
So far, the original creators of Blue Lock, Muneyuki Kaneshiro (Super Ball Girls) and Yusuke Nomura (Dolly Kill Kill), are the only ones credited for the second season.
The series has yet to reveal the staff that will work on the sequel.
