Fans have long been anticipating it, but it seems that an anime adaptation may finally be announced. Many fans now believe that a Blue Box anime will be revealed at Jump Festa 2024 following the reported registration of an official website.
Recently, reports have surfaced online that a domain for the anime has been registered, thus implying that an anime is being planned or is already in the works.
If this is indeed preparation for the anime, it makes sense that it’s happening now given that Shueisha’s big event of the year is happening this December.
Official Blue Box Anime Website Reportedly Registered
Blue Box is a sports romance manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on April 12, 2021. Fans outside Japan can also read the series in English weekly via Manga Plus and Shonen Jump.
It may not be a certified bestseller, but Blue Box has continued to enjoy a good level of popularity and sales. Because of this, many fans believe that it’s likely going to get an anime adaptation in the future.
Now, it seems that these predictions are coming true as the domain Aonohako-anime.com has been registered online. This was reported by many anime and manga insiders on X (formerly Twitter).
Of course, domain registration doesn’t mean that the anime is already confirmed. It’s possible that it’s just the publisher preemptively securing the domain in case an anime project is made down the line.
There’s also a chance that this might be fake as it’s not easy to verify if Shueisha or a production committee was the one who registered the domain.

Blue Box Anime Stage Event Happening at Jump Festa 2024
Still, all points lead to a Blue Box anime announcement at Jump Festa 2024, the big Shueisha event where the latest manga and anime developments from the publisher are shared.
What makes an anime adaptation announcement likely is that Blue Box is getting stage time at the upcoming event. Specifically, the series will be highlighted on the Blue stage on December 16, 2023.
Blue Box isn’t the only Jump manga that fans believe will get an anime reveal. Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan is another popular manga that’s tipped to get an anime announcement at Shueisha’s event.
Similar to Blue Box, Dandadan also has a dedicated stage time which fans are excited to see.
Jump Festa 24 is happening from December 16 to 17, 2023, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
