In just a few weeks, the highly-anticipated DCEU film Blue Beetle will finally arrive in theaters and it will mark the beloved DC hero's big screen debut after years of being a fan-favorite in the comic pages.

What adds more to the excitement is the fact that the character is expected to be integrated into the new DCU franchise under James Gunn and Peter Safran and which makes this more valuable to the audience than the other recent DCEU movies.

Just like any film that gets released, fans are hoping that the film will live up to its quality and it will deliver a fun time at the movie theaters which is what every audience is always hoping for in a blockbuster.

Now, as we're getting closer to its release, we now have the detail regarding its runtime and it looks like it will be shorter than an average DCEU film.

A listing from AMC Theaters revealed that Blue Beetle will have a runtime of 2 hours and 7 minutes or 127 minutes, making it one of the shortest DCEU movies of all time.

In comparison with the other DCEU films that were released this year, Shazam! Fury of the Gods had a runtime of 130 minutes while The Flash had a whopping runtime of 144 minutes.

The shortest DCEU movie to date is 2020's Birds of Prey which only had a runtime of 109 minutes while other films such as Black Adam and Suicide Squad played around the runtime of more than 120 minutes.

On average, most DCEU films had a runtime of more than 130 minutes which means that Blue Beetle will be shorter than usual and it is a hint that the pacing is likely going to be more tight.

Since we have never seen the film, it is hard to tell right now whether it is the appropriate runtime since it still all depends on how they are telling the story and whether the pacing felt right for it with no unnecessary moments.

Nevertheless, it is an exciting detail to learn about the film as we're heading to its release since it sets up some sort of expectation for the audience and it will help schedule your plans when you see it next month.
