Blind will show Jung Eun Ji’s other side as an actress after the K-pop idol tried her luck in the TV and film industry.

For over a decade, Jung Eun Ji has been gracing the South Korean industries as an idol and actress. Although she initially debuted as a member of Apink, she rose to fame even more as a soloist and cast member of various drama series and films.

She made her acting debut in Reply 1997, and she then scored more roles in other series, including Legally Blonde, 0.0 MHz, Lovers of Music, Untouchable, and Backstreet Rookie.

Years after she last scored a lead role in a TV series, the K-pop idol will be in front of the cameras again for a new drama.

Blind Casts Apink’s Jung Eun Ji

On Tuesday, Jung Eun Ji’s agency, IST Entertainment, revealed that the K-pop idol has been tapped to play the role of Jo Eun Ki in the OCN’s upcoming drama, Blind.

Meanwhile, Jo Eun Ki will be one of the highlights of Blind as it tells the story of people who become victims due to their ordinary lives. It also focuses on the daily lives of detectives, judges, and jurors.

Jung Eun Ji will reportedly work with 2PM Taecyeon and Ha Seok Jin in the drama. Andante screenwriter Kwon Ki Kyung will write the script, while Tunnel’s Shin Young Hwi will serve as the producing director.

New Project For Jung Eun Ji

Jung Eun Ji’s new project came after the K-pop idol officially left her radio show, KBS Cool FM’s Jung Eun Ji’s Gayo Plaza, after working for nearly three years. She marked her last day with a live broadcast and an emotional farewell message to her fans and listeners.

The radio producers also prepared a surprise and gave her a message from her mother.

“Now that I am unable to hear my daughter's voice every day on the radio, I'm really upset. You've worked really, really hard all this while for the radio amidst your busy schedules. In the future, through your other activities, I will continue watching my pretty daughter, and I will give you lots of support,” part of the message said.

Jung Eun Ji will be replaced by Highlight’s Lee Gi Kwang.
