From its mother series comes Blade Runner: Black Lotus and it recently concluded with a bang as the Japanese-American anime show closes its curtains with an explosive and action-packed finale. Here is what happened in the ending, where to watch it, and would there be another run.

In Blade Runner: Black Lotus Episode 13, Time To Die, Elle was able to get inside the former building of Tyrell Corp as she disable the guards going to Niander Wallace Jr. There, she interrogated him of his real intentions but he ominously replied that he is proud of what she became. Elle, angered, tried to attack but because of her programming, she was not able to do so.

Water Lily was there, too, and Elle fought her with a sword. Meanwhile, Joseph went to the manufacture room to put explosives. Wallace Jr. escaped to look for Joseph and it was revealed that he plans that humanity be replaced by replicants. He tried to take the detonator from Joseph. As for Elle and Water Lily, the former came out victorious and it was Wallace Jr. who ended Water Lily when he realized her flaw.

Elle was given an offer by Wallace Jr. but she refused and slashed his eyes. Elle took the detonator from Joseph and they headed out. However, when Joseph realized they wouldn’t make it, he pushed Elle out and sealed himself inside to ensure her safety but that resulted to Joseph’s death.

After a month, Officer Davis got back to work, now on a wheelchair. Doc Badger tried to get into the apartment of Joseph but only the sword of Elle was there. As for Elle, she left Los Angeles on Joseph’s motorbike.

The whole finale was a blast when it comes to action and it satisfies the goal of the whole anime show from the beginning. However, it still left some room for more, leaving the question of whether there would be another season. As of the time of writing, there is no confirmation yet whether the show would have another shot of a second season and it has not been renewed yet.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus’ finale be streamed online through both platforms, Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. On Crunchyroll, premium access subscribers get a week of an earlier release as a perk for their subscription costing $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year before the episodes get released for free to the general public the following week.
