A new report has revealed that the MCU reboot of Blade has finally set a filming date this year after years of massive delays.
The long-gestated project has suffered a lot of setbacks throughout its development with director, writer, and release date changes. Fortunately, Mahershala Ali is still on board to star in the movie.
Fans have been wondering whether the project will finally begin production and a new update has suggested that the MCU movie is planning to roll their cameras soon.

Blade MCU Reboot Circling to Start Filming This Summer
According to reporter Jeff Sneider in The Hot Mic podcast, the MCU reboot of Blade is set to begin filming in Mexico this summer.
He also added that the latest draft of the script has been stripped down to "Mahershala Ali just killing vampires."
So far, Marvel Studios has not confirmed the claims that Sneider made in his scoop.
If the information ends up being true, it is an encouraging update for fans since it is a sign that things are indeed going well in its pre-production and they have finally figured out the iconic character's MCU debut.
Recently, insider Daniel Richtman also offered a scoop about the progress on Blade where he reported that the film is now set in the present day and Mia Goth is still attached to play the main villain Lilith.
It is also likely that we will be hearing official reports about the MCU movie in the coming weeks if production begins this summer and gives us more idea about the current plans for the projects.
Blade is currently scheduled for release in theaters on November 7, 2025.
