The much-awaited arrival of Marvel's resident Daywalker Blade is definitely happening this Phase Four but as it stands, Eric Brooks' Marvel Cinematic Universe debut is still shrouded by mystery. Initially expected for a 2022 release date, the entire COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately halted the production for the Mahershala Ali-led project but according to the Indian Twitter account of Marvel, we could actually be getting the film sooner than expected.
You see, Blade is already confirmed to begin production later this year after it was confirmed last September that Bassam Tariq will be helming the film. While Marvel Studios has yet to announce the new release date for the reboot, it's safe to assume that the film could hit cinemas sometime in 2022 much like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which will also begin filming in a few months.
Marvel India's official Twitter page has listed Blade in the country's upcoming release date and surprisingly enough, it has been given an October 2022 release date. The real question is, was it all just a glitch, or is Marvel actually dropping the film a full year from now? Check it out here:

Realistically speaking, a late 2022 release for Blade is actually possible considering the project will begin production before the year ends. But given the fact that it's a full-length film and not a spinoff show, it would benefit more from having a longer production. I'm guessing Marvel India made a mistake with the release schedule they posted but I guess we'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out.
