Marvel's Blade Adds The Wonder Years Star Milan Ray in Key Role

Ever since Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali was announced as the MCU's Blade as well as showed up off-screen in the post-credits scene of Eternals, there has been a lot of anticipation on his upcoming solo film which has been in the works for a while now. While the plot details are under wraps, we've been hearing some updates in the past few months as it is heading closer to production. Now, it looks like the film has recruited another cast member.

According to The Direct, The Wonder Years star Milan Ray has joined the cast of Blade. The details regarding the role that she will play are being kept under wraps, but the report speculated that she might be playing the role of Fallon Grey, Blade's daughter.

Bassam Tariq is set to direct the film. Stacey Osei-Kuffour wrote the screenplay. Besides Ali, the other confirmed cast members in the film are Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre. Production will reportedly begin this July in Atlanta, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana.

The 14-year-old actress currently stars in ABC's The Wonder Years reboot where she plays Keisa Clemmons. She also appeared in TV shows such as Modern Love and Boomerang and films such as Troop Zero and Charm City Kings.

There is a reason to believe that Ray will be playing Fallon Grey given her age and her mysterious role being described as a "key character" which indicates that she will have a significant role in the film. Fallon Grey was supposed to have her own comic series back in 2016, but the plan was scrapped due to the backlash on the news that an all-white male team will be behind its creative team. It would be interesting to see if Ray will actually end up playing the role.
