YG Entertainment drops a major update about BLACKPINK’s much-awaited comeback, confirming that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa have already started filming their upcoming music video.

Not only that, though, but the music label also teased that the company spent its “biggest budget” on this production. So, what is this BLACKPINK’s music video about?

BLACKPINK Now Working on Their Comeback Music Video

BLACKPINK is now working on their comeback MV, though YG has remained mum about the theme of the video.

Nothing is known about the new music the girls are about to release, keeping it under lock and key.

However, the company teased that it would be its “biggest budget production.”

"The members of BLACKPINK are currently in the middle of filming their comeback MV. It is the label's biggest budget production yet,” it said in an announcement, via AllKpop. “Thanks to the meticulous planning and organized preparation leading up to this point, the filming process is going smoothly."

As expected, fans can’t help but be very excited upon learning the news about BLACKPINK’s comeback MV.

In a discussion on the online community The Qoo, fans expressed their excitement over the girls’ return.

"I'm so excited," one fan said. "I really want them to release their comeback date," another stated.

"I'm so happy that they are finally making a comeback,” a BLINK chimed in.

Of course, many are starting to look forward to seeing BLACKPINK’s new music video. But if there’s one thing they’re desperate to know, it’s the official comeback date of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa as a group.

The Official Announcement of BLACKPINK’s Return

On July 6, a YG representative announced the return of BLACKPINK. At the time, the “Kill This Love” hitmakers were said to be working on the final stages of recording their new album.

It was also revealed that they would start shooting their music video in July and make their comeback with new music in August.

“A lot of music that is BLACKPINK-esque has been completed with much effort over a long period of time. In order to expand BLACKPINK’s emotional connection with fans all over the world, they will set out for the largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history until the end of the year along with their comeback,” the announcement reads, per Soompi. “Furthermore, big projects fitting of that status will continuously follow.”


This will be the first time fans will hear BLACKPINK again as a group after almost two years. Their last studio-length album released was The Album in 2020, featuring the hit song “How You Like That” and the special collaboration track “Ice Cream” with Selena Gomez.
