BLACKPINK's Guinness World Records

Earlier this year, BLACKPINK dethroned Little Mix as the most-streamed female group on Spotify. The Guinness World Records confirmed the development, saying that the Shutdown hitmakers garnered 8.8 billion individual streams on Spotify, with How You Like That, Kill This Love and DDU-DU DDU-DU as the top songs with the highest streams at that time.

BLACKPINK also holds the records for the first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the US albums chart (female), the first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart (female), the most subscribers for a band on YouTube, most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and the most viewed music video in 24 hours.

BTS has since snatched the latter two records for its single, Dynamite.

Aside from the group recognition, BLACKPINK members also hold individual Guinness Records.

Lisa holds the title for the first solo K-pop winner at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards for Best K-pop Video and the first solo K-pop winner at the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards for Best K-Pop.

She previously set other records, including the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a solo K-pop artist and the most-viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Rosé became the first artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Global chart upon the release of her debut single, On The Ground.
