Black Widow Will Reveal What Happened to Nat and Hawkeye in Budapest

One of the biggest mysteries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton's constant reference to "Budapest" although we never really know what happened there. However, Kevin Feige has finally confirmed that fans will get to find out in Black Widow.

Feige was recently in attendance at the 2019 Comic Con Experience where he unveiled new footage from Black Widow. In addition to that, the Marvel Studios president confirmed that the highly anticipated MCU flick will reveal what exactly happened in Budapest that Nat and Clint can't stop reminiscing about it (via Reddit).

There have been several speculations about the whole Budapest incident since it was brought up during the Battle of New York in Avengers. Nat likened the fight against the Chitauri to what happened in the city while Hawkeye disagreed. Budapest is brought up again in Avengers: Endgame as the two head off to find the Soul Stone.

For now, we're not sure what happened in Budapest but we know that both Nat and Clint were sent there by SHIELD for a special mission. Needless to say, we're happy to know that the little secret will finally be revealed in Black Widow.

Black Widow is directed by Cate Shortland and will bring back Scarlett Johansson as Natasha. She will be joined by Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shoskatov, and Rachel Weisz as Melina, another former Black Widow. The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2020.
