Black Widow Star Florence Pugh Speaks Out Against Trolls and Haters

It looks like Black Widow actress Florence Pugh is hitting back at the trolls who've spouted "hurtful" comments about the relationship she shares with Scrubs actor Zack Braff.

Speaking in an interview with ELLE UK for the magazine's June Issue (via Digital Spy), Pugh decided to open up about her experience being bullied online. Braff and Pugh have a 21 year age gap between them, and the relationship between the two has sparked some very nasty remarks on the internet.

In her interview with ELLE, Pugh emphasizes on how "hurtful" the comments can be.

"I don't want to talk about it because it's not something I want to highlight, but my point to all this is that isn't it odd that a stranger can totally tear apart someone's relationship and it's allowed?" the Marvel star told the publication.

Despite the negativity, Pugh stands up for herself, saying that she has every right to hang out and go out with people that she wants to.

"I'm an actor because I like acting and I don't mind people watching my stuff, but people have no right to educate me on my private life," the actress continued, "I know that part of being in the spotlight is that people might invade your privacy and have opinions on it, but it's bizarre that normal folk are allowed to display such hate and opinions on a part of my life that I'm not putting out there. It's a strange side of fame that you're allowed to be torn apart by thousands of people even though you didn't put that piece of you out there."

This isn't the first time that Pugh's spoken out against her haters. Last month, the actress posted a video on Instagram to address the bullies who've commented against her decision to be with Braff.

Pugh does have a point. As much as fans love following their favorite Hollywood stars and celebrities, that doesn't mean that they have any right to dictate the lives of these people.

The Black Widow and Midsommar star is of legal age and is of the right mind to choose whoever she wants to date with.

Black Widow is set to premiere on November 6, 2020.
