Black Widow in Top Three Movies to See When Cinemas Reopen This Year


It looks like Black Widow is one of the most highly-anticipated films that moviegoers want to see when theatres reopen this year.

Originally set for a May release this year, Black Widow's opening was pushed back after the theaters were closed down all over the world in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mass gatherings like movie screenings have been disallowed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and so studios pushed movie releases back.

Now that the government has started easing up on the lockdown, fans anticipate the reopening of cinemas, and according to a report by Meaww,Black Widow is one of the top three films that moviegoers want to see when cinemas do open again.

Of course, it shouldn't come as a surprise to hear that fans are excitedly waiting for Black Widow to make its big premiere.

Hearts were broken when Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) sacrificed her life in Avengers: Endgame. Sure, Black Widow might be a prequel film set between the events Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, but it's a movie that allows everyone to see Natasha one more time before Marvel goes on with Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not only that, but Black Widow is Scarlett Johansson's very first standalone movie in the MCU – a film that fans have been hoping to see for years.
