What is Black Summoner About?
When Kelvin awakens one day to an unfamiliar place and with no recollection of anything prior, he soon learns that he has chosen to do away with memories of his past life in exchange for brand new powers and abilities.
Ready to take on this new world and life as a Summoner, Kelvin learns one other truth about him: he happens to have quite an unusual affinity for battles.
Now armed with this knowledge and his newly acquired skills, Kelvin, along with his goddess follower, jumps in (and enjoys) one fierce battle after another.
Black Summoner is based on the ongoing action/fantasy light novel of the same title by Doufu Mayoi. A manga adaptation by Gin Ammo is also currently in publication.
The anime is produced by Bushiroad and Satelight, and features songs by RetBear and Minori Suzuki for its opening and closing themes, respectively.
Wotakoi director Yoshimasa Hiraike is directing the anime and overseeing its script. Ao-Chan Can't Study!'s Miwa Oshima is on the team as the anime's character designer.
Kelvin is voiced by Kouki Uchiyama (Horimiya's Izumi Miyamura, Haikyuu!!'s Kei Tsukishima), while Manaka Iwami (Fruits Basket's Tooru Honda, Spy x Family's Millie) voices Efil.

Black Summoner Episode 1 is set to be released on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, as part of the Summer 2022 anime season.
As the show is coming out in the evening in Japan, viewers in North America should be able to watch the series early on Saturday morning.
