The highly-anticipated sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, already released in theaters in most countries around the globe but it will only come out domestically tomorrow. With that, it has already bagged $10.1 million for its international box office and mind you, this is just the premiere.
In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever already got $10.1 million for its international box office from 17 material markets, and in comparison, it is ahead of 285% on Black Adam, and 45% on The Batman, but still, it is behind Thor: Love and Thunder with 31%.
Considering that this weekend will be its release to other countries, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever could be heavily affected with the exclusion of China and Russia, two big markets for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, the numbers only mean that the sequel is up to a good start.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be dealing with the aftermath of the death of T'Challa after Marvel decided not to recast the late Chadwick Boseman, and it will also be the arrival of Namor bringing forth an impending war between the Talocan and Wakanda.
Other than the fiasco of the nation, the introduction of the new Black Panther is also expected to happen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and it is heavily speculated that Shuri will be next in line to the title. However, rumors also point to another heir to being the Black Panther.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11, 2022.
