Despite Henry Cavill not giving up on the role, there's no telling of what the future of Superman looks like. However, rumors recently got around the net which suggests that Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan might be the next Superman. And now, here's what the actor has to say about the matter.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Jordan was asked about him taking on the superhero role and how it could be "special." Sitting beside him was his co-star Jamie Foxx, who admitted that it "would be so crazy." However, Jordan admitted that he's already used to being in rumors of playing something, like Morpheus, Superman, Duck Tales reboot, and Power Rangers, amongst others.
That being said, the actor made it clear that if he were to dive into any of those roles, he would do it the "right way." Jordan says it has to be "full of authenticity," especially since he is a fan of comic books, he understands why fans would be "upset" when something is changed about the character. "So just know, if I ever were to dabble in anything, it would be authentic and something that I feel like people would really support," he added. You can check out the full interview below.
While the future of Superman isn't quite clear, Variety shared a report last month regarding Jordan meeting with Warner Bros. However, the outlet claims Jordan "isn't ready to commit" to take on the project since he has multiple projects lined up, and also because a Superman movie wouldn't likely happen "for several years."
