Black Mirror Season 5 Premiere Date Reportedly Set Before New Year's Eve

It looks like we won't need to wait too long for Black Mirror Season 5. The next season of the sci-fi show will reportedly air on Netflix before the end of the year.

The Black Mirror Season 5 premiere date may have been leaked by a listing of things to look forward to on Netflix this December. The image confirms that Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle will air on December 7 while the new Watership Down miniseries is scheduled for Christmas Day. The last entry reveals the first episode of the new Black Mirror season as well. Take a look at the image below.

This is certainly exciting news for fans who have been hoping to see the new season before the end of the year. Unfortunately, it looks like Netflix has updated its lineup and removed the Black Mirror episode.

It's still unclear if the streaming service is trying to be secretive about the Black Mirror Season 5 air date or if the listing had been a mistake. For one, Watership Down has been given a new premiere date on BBC so it's possible that the show's international release will also be moved. For now, we'll have to take this with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement from Netflix.

Although we're still unsure when the fifth season will premiere, we now know that Charlie Brooker was initially worried about the beloved Season 4 episode San Junipero. The creator admitted that he believed the hints about the plot twist were too obvious.
