Black Mirror: Bandersnatch's Will Poulter Quits Twitter

One of the most buzzed about things this holiday season is Netflix's interactive Black Mirror episode, Bandersnatch, and it stars Will Poulter as hotshot game developer Colin Ritman. What's weird is, the growing popularity of Bandersnatch has somehow pushed Poulter to take a step back from social media—particularly Twitter.

Check out his post:

Though Poulter is probably best known for playing the awkward dork in We're the Millers, he has time and again proven himself a very versatile actor; besides Bandersnatch, he's done some intense work with Detroit and The Maze Runner.

Knowing how intense some fans can get on Twitter, it's probably best for Poulter to steer clear from social media. I think the only ones who really flourish are those who are tough enough to brush off harsh words thrown at them constantly. It's ridiculous how Rian Johnson managed to stay on Twitter after the wave of hate that followed Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Poor Kelly Marie Tran had to quit Instagram.

Seeing as some fans have a tendency to personally attack actors for the characters that they played, I imagine that a lot have been hassling Poulter for playing the role of Colin. After all, you could say that Colin was kind of the devil's advocate to Bandersnatch's poor protagonist. Either way, I thought Poulter did a fantastic job considering the size of his role.

We don't know when we'll see Poulter again, but I'm kind of hoping he gets to work on Star Wars at some point. He was already co-stars with John Boyega in Detroit.
