It has been a long time since the Black Clover movie was confirmed but we have yet to learn when it will be dropped. Luckily, we're getting some good news. The first teaser for the film has just been unleashed and it confirms that the anime movie will be released in 2023!
The new trailer for the Black Clover movie opens with images from the manga before switching to footage from the film. As Asta reappears in the last shot, it is confirmed that the anime movie will be released next year. You can watch the awesome new trailer below.
In addition to the trailer, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15 revealed on Monday that the Black Clover anime film will open in 2023. The magazine also confirms that manga creator Yuki Tabata will serve as the chief supervisor and original character designer on the project.
This is great news considering that fans have been worried about the film since there hasn't been any update on the project for a long time. Luckily, it looks like Black Clover is still moving forward and people can finally enjoy the movie when it drops next year.
Now that the movie is confirmed for 2023, Yuki Tabata is set to continue working on the manga as well. The mangaka's message in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15 teases yet another year with Black Clover.
"The only thing I could say is sorry to have caused everyone so much trouble! I'll work even harder for Year 8!" Tabata wrote.
The manga has been around since 2015 and fans are hoping that there will be more chapters in the future. Needless to say, we can't wait for more updates on the Black Clover franchise soon.
The film has not yet been given an official release date but is set to premiere in 2023. Black Clover Chapter 326 is published in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15.
