Black Clover Creator Yuki Tabata Shares Heartwarming Message to Celebrate Manga's 30th Volume

In case you missed it, Black Clover has achieved a new milestone this month. The manga has just released its 30th volume and no one is prouder about it than creator Yuki Tabata. So it's no surprise that the mangaka's afterword in the new volume is a heartwarming update on Tabata's personal life.

The 30th volume of Black Clover was released earlier this week and as expected, it has a heartfelt message from Tabata for the readers. In the latest one, the mangaka shared how releasing 30 volumes of Black Clover has always been his goal. Tabata then revealed how a personal milestone made him remember his own childhood.

"When I saw my two-year-old daughter draw, I remembered how I had been drawing since I could remember," he wrote. Tabata further added how he was easily frustrated when he failed to draw something.

"When I was in kindergarten, I liked Dragon Ball, and my mother drew me a copy of Goku and I started drawing different drawings of Dragon Ball like crazy... But I couldn't draw it right, so I cried," he continued, adding that his mother always encouraged him to overcome his failures.

It is here that Tabata reveals that his father died when he was the same age as his daughter. However, he strongly believes that both parents played an important role in pushing him forward to achieve his dreams.

"My father died when I was only a few years old, so I will live and live for him, and love and love my wife and daughter for him," Tabata wrote.

It's an emotional message and Black Clover fans are understandably moved by the afterword. Needless to say, we can all celebrate the manga's 30th anniversary together.

Black Clover's 30th volume was released on October 4, 2021.
