Black Captain America Reportedly Confirmed For MCU

It looks like Marvel has just confirmed that Marvel fans are going to get a black Captain America in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Marvel has been preparing fans for the idea of Sam Wilson otherwise known as the Falcon taking over the Captain America role ever since Endgame, Marvel fans have been wondering whether or not Sam Wilson would really be playing the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The makeup artist for Falcon (Anthony Mackie) just recently confirmed Falcon's new role as the Black Captain America of the MCU. Taking to Instagram, make-up artists Latoya Henderson has confirmed Falcon's role in the future of Marvel in a post on Instagram about the Black Lives Matter movement.

"We're getting a black Captain America this year, so let's not cancel 2020 just yet," Latoya wrote on her story on Instagram (via Cosmic Book News).

This is the first time that a person part of those in charge of the production of Falcon and the Winter the Soldier has confirmed Falcon as Marvel's first black Captain America. After all, there's been word going around saying that U.S. Agent would later carry the mantle in the upcoming Marvel live-action series.

Of course, as with all rumors and reports, we advise fans to take this post with a grain of salt. It remains to be seen whether or not Falcon will wear the Captain America suit or an altered version of the costume in Falcon and the Winter Soldier or in another film in the MCU.

Let's wait and see.

Phase 4 begins when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
